How to find the museum
Järvenpää Art Museum is located in the basement of Järvenpää Library, right next to the railway station. The museum is accessed from the library lobby via stairs or the lift. The entrance is opposite Järvenpää Hall. Come and visit!
Please note that the street address Kirjastokatu 8 takes you to the car park behind the library and museum building. You can find the entrance to the Art Museum by walking around the building.
Arrival by train
Commuter train R from Helsinki and Riihimäki stop at Järvenpää railway station right next to the museum. From the underpass of the train station, go up the stairs past the statue of Sibelius. On your right, you will see Järvenpää Hall, and on your left you will see the red-brick library building. The Art Museum is in the basement floor of the library.
Arrival by car
The museum’s street address Kirjastokatu 8 takes you behind the Art Museum to a car park with free parking. You can find the entrance to the Art Museum by walking around the red-brick library building to the other side. There is another car park in front of Järvenpää Hall at Hallintokatu 4. The museum is located opposite Järvenpää Hall in the same square.
Arrival by bus
Järvenpää is served by both local buses and bus connections belonging to the HSL area. The bus station is located next to the railway station on the opposite side of the track from the museum. You can find the museum by going through the underpass. The museum is on the left in the square after the Sibelius statue.
